About The Project
From classroom to community
Resilient Futures Global is built around a close collaboration between:
100% for the Children
An international NGO with a long-term presence in Kenya, working on education, WASH, climate resilience, and child rights. 100% for Children connects projects to local communities, ensuring solutions are relevant, practical, and sustainable.
DTU Skylab
DTU’s innovation hub bridging education, entrepreneurship, and impact. Skylab designs learning experiences, supports students, and integrates real-world projects into academic programs.
University of Nairobi
Kenya’s largest and leading university, focused on science, engineering, and sustainable development. UoN brings local expertise, student talent, and community connections to ensure solutions are both practical and impactful in Nairobi’s urban communities.
Together, we integrate real-life cases from Nairobi into engineering education in Denmark and create pathways for students to test, refine and scale their ideas in collaboration with local partners.
Students don’t just learn about global climate challenges – they co-create and test solutions directly with the people affected by them.
Impact & Sustainability
Resilient Futures Global is designed for long-term impact:
- Locally anchored solutions based on real needs
- Capacity building for students in both Denmark and Kenya
- Continuation beyond the project through education, startups and partnerships
- Knowledge sharing across universities, NGOs and the private sector
- Student ideas don’t stop at the classroom – they become part of ongoing development work and innovation ecosystems.
